About Us
Susie's Cottage is a large in-home childcare and Preschool located in Roseville. We plan our days to include a healthy balance of activity, education, nutrition, rest, and lots of tender love and care.

The children enjoy a day filled with music, dance, tumbling, literacy, and preschool activities cleverly disguised as FUN! Throughout the year we coordinate themed activities covering a variety of topics that assist in your child's discovery of thier world. Our circle time activities include weather, calendar, alphabet, colors, shapes, and much much more. We explore literacy through stories, songs and books on tape. We explore math and science concepts through sorting, matching, sand and water play, cooking, etc.

We exercise daily to keep our energy flowing and our bodies active. We either play outside in the play yard, or excercise and dance to children's music inside.

Each day we serve three delicious home-cooked meals. The children take a nice relaxing nap in the afternoon to ready their bodies and minds for the rest of their day.

In between the planned activities we are on a strictly fun and games schedule. The children have two full rooms dedicated to thier enjoyment. The "KID ZONE" features dramatic play areas, soft space to sit and read, lots of toys to choose from, puzzles, art supplies, costumes, etc.

Childcare Philosophy
As your childcare provider I seek to support your child's discovery of their world. I believe my role in their learning is to provide a balance of activity and rest, sound nutrition, kind care, and fair treatment. I strive to cultivate an atmosphere that is safe, positive, consistent and comfortable. I will provide them with age appropriate activities and play things that will be primarily fun, and in most cases have secondary learning value.

I am careful to select children and families that I feel will fit with the atmosphere of the business that I have worked so hard to develop. As communication is the cornerstone to success in this business, I ask you as parents to be open, honest and communicative with me and my staff regarding your child. We promise to do the same for you. Each parent, child and provider forms a trinity of information and opportunity that can build a strong and effective team of support to help your child grow.
